Pragmaticum only delivers its services directly to the business, normally through its risk and insurance departments, or via its professional advisers. We never act for insurers. Business Interruption (BI) claimsWe specialise in the business interruption aspects of claims, whether these are insured, the subject of statutory compensation, or the consequence of action by a third party. We also provide advice and support on all aspects of the loss. We deliver this service to companies in two ways: 1) We can assume responsibility for working with the management of the affected business unit to identify and compile the claim for loss. Once this has been agreed with management and the risk and insurance department, we present the claim to the loss adjusters acting for the insurer/captive.We then undertake the settlement of the claim directly, or provide support to the business unit’s management or other professional parties, depending on the desired model and the circumstances of the loss. 2) We can operate as a resource to support the business unit in preparing and negotiating its claim.
